Hello, I have recently I bought a new motherboard, cpu, ram and cpu cooler.
The instillation went without a hitch and everything worked, however, I noticed that my games for example CSGO, League of Legends or Arma 3 keeps freezing every 10-30 minutes in-game.
I have my Intel and BIOS drivers updated.
My specs are: Asus Maximus VIII Ranger
i7 6700k @4.2Ghz
*No GPU present*
2x4GB of DDR4 @3200mhz (CMK8GX4M2B3200C16)
CX750 PSU
2 Corsair fans + 1 defualt case fan
Cooler master Evo 212x with artic cooler mx4 paste
When the system is stressed with prime95 it only goes up to 86 degrees celcius.
and when gaming stays around 40 degrees celcius.
It is quite annoying especially when you are playing with friends.
May you please help.
P.S. I ran the IPDT and it passed.
Thank you.

Hello Ranger:
The processor works with Intel® HD Graphics 530 controller, so you mentioned you have the latest graphics drivers, but just in case please try the drivers below:
Beta driver 4552:

Hello alberto_intel,
I have installed the beta drivers and tried setting the video settings to the suggested options.
However, it was to no avail.
CSGO froze up mid game which forced me to sign out of my PC and sign back in since I couldn't use the task manager as the freeze prevented me from changing the game into another window i.e task manager.
Thank you.
Simon.

Hello Ranger:
Did you tried to re-install the game from scratch?
Did the game worked fine before?
In regard to the other games you listed before, are they working fine now with the beta driver, or the issue still persists with all the games?
On the following you will find a dedicated forum support for CSGO, in there you will get in contact with different peers that might have specific troubleshoot steps in order to try to fix this problem:

Ronin alberto_intel
Hello,
Thank you for your replies and suggestions.
I have it set in XMP for it to run at 3200mhz,
however, I had also tested it without XMP with
clock speed of 2133mhz and then 2400mhz
and the same problem presisted.
Thank you Alberto for the suggestion, however,
this week I have been quite busy with exams and
could not find the time to actually try to go near the pc
let alone play games, I am sorry for the delay I will try to
check out if the problem still occurs in the other games on Saturday
14th.
Thank you for your time.

Hello alberto_intel,
I have tried to play Arma 3, CSGO, Metal Gear Solid V and League of Legends.
Unfortunately the problem is still there and the games keep freezing.
Which results in me having to sign out and sign back in, in order to close down the game
without shutting down the computer.
Thank you for your help.

Hi Ranger ,
I see you tested with games with different engines, so the only things in common that can lead to the problems you have are the operating system, the drivers, CPU and mainboard.
If you are sure that you have reinstalled windows with the latest updates and updated all drivers, bios and firmwares that your mainboard has, then all you have to do is test CPU on another mainboard at a computer service, or at a friend who is willing to help you.
If the CPU is ok on other mainboard then, it can be a problem with the mainboard you have as I found few people that had problems also on the same type of mainboard.
The fastest way is to go with the PC in warranty, detecting what causes the problem you have will be time consuming if you don't have the means to do all the necessary testing

Hello:
Thank you very much to Ronin for the comments posted previously.
To Ranger:
If you do not have the option to swap parts or to do those tests, then we can always start an investigation on this matter, for that we just need the following information.
On the following chart please try to fill as much information as you can so we can get the most accurate information:
/thread/77761 https://communities.intel.com/thread/77761
Also, please install the SSU tool (System Support Utility):
You will be able to download it on the following link:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility
Once you do that, the tool will allow you to save the information as a file, so, once you save it, please also attach it to this thread, in order for us to see it.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and look for the option: Intel® HD Graphics control panel, once you open that, choose "options and support", then select "information center", and then choose where it says "file" at the bottom, you will get a text file, please attach it to this thread, so we can verify it.
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello, alberto_intel and Ronin
Thank you Ronin for the suggestion I may be able to in the future
,however, at this moment in time I can't. Much appreciated for your advice.
Alberto, I will try and complete chart and install the SSU tool asap.
Also I looked into computer manager and into the 'Administrative Events'
and found something interesting, an error at the time of crash. I am not sure how
useful the information will be but it still is something.
Thank you for all your help!
Simon.

Hello alberto_intel
Just a quick update, I just played CSGO for around 90 minutes without crashing
and I have a theory why this is.
First of all, when CSGO crashed for me and I signed out sometimes an error pops up
something on the lines of 'plugin container breakpoint 0x80000003.......' and usually I wouldn't have
time to react before the pc would close all programmes and sign off.
However, this time I quickly cancelled the sign off as it already turned CSGO off (also the same error popped up) after that I
started CSGO up and played for a solid 90 minutes without a crash. My guess is that since the 'plugin crashed' and I had not
signed off it was not running therefore it couldn't crash the game. But, my only question is what the hell does a 'plug-in' possibly from
Firefox have to do with my games freezing. I am not a hundered percent certain and this may be an anomoloy but I will go test it with
Arma 3 and Metal Gear Solid V. However, the results may be compromised because if I started Firefox again it may have restarted the
plugin.

Then disable plugins in Firefox, or try to update the plugin. Try to not use 32 bit plugins also, because they create problems on 64 bit systems.

Hello:
Thank you to Ronin for providing that suggestion.
To Ranger:
Thank you very much for letting us know that information, it is good to hear that you were able to play the game for 90 minutes.
Please try the suggestion provided by Ronin, that is a good option to try to fix this problem, and let us know the results once you get the chance to test those other games.
Any questions, please let me know.

Hello, alberto_intel
I have solved the problem, I had my suspicions that It may have not been the plugin as
it seemed strange that Firefox would crash games thus it didn't make sense.
Therefore I did further digging into the error at the time of crash.
Turns out that it was a problem with Windows, more specifically 'permissions' which led to
a problem with DCOM.
I have found a solution that fixes the error on the internet and I applied it.
After a restart I played multiple CSGO matches that can span up to 90min, I also tried
Metal Gear Solid V and Arma 3. No crashes/freezes occurred. Thus I conclude that
Firefox nor faulty hardware were the cause but simply a windows error.
For anyone experiencing the same problem:
1. Play the game until a crash occurs (MAKE SURE TO KEEP TRACK OF TIME)
2. Right click on 'This PC' and click 'Manage'
3. Expand 'Event Viewer'
4. Expand 'Custom Views'
5. Click 'Administrative Events'
6. Go to the time of the crash
7. The error should be there as stated under source 'DistrbutedCOM' and as 'Event 10016'
8. Click on it and go to the 'General' tab at the bottom
9. Two long codes should be present a CLSID code and an APPID code
10. Record numbers and follow the link I provided to a website that
explains what to do next.
Website: https://shauncassells.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/windows-10-event-10016-fix-the-application-specific-permission-settings-do-not-grant-local-activation-permission-for-the-com-server-application-with-clsid-d63b10c5-bb46-4990-a94f-e40b9d520160-and-a/ Windows 10 Event 10016 Fix: The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for th…
