According to the error message you received, the reason why you can't install the driver is because it requires kernel 3.14 to work. If you are using Galileo's official image, it doesn't meet this requirement as it uses kernel 3.8.7. Nevertheless, you could build your own image (and include the driver while doing it) that uses kernel 3.14. In order to do so you will have to use Quark's BSP 1.2.1 and follow its building guide.
