    Disk Space on Galileo

    BMEJ

I am having trouble installing packages etc on the Galileo due to disk space.  I feel there's an error because I do have a 32Gb card.

I'm sure there's a catch or something very basic I am not knowledgable about

Here is the result of df -h

      root@galileo:~# df -h

Filesystem      Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on

      /dev/root       1.3G  1.2G  5.1M 100% /

      devtmpfs        116M     0  116M   0% /dev

      tmpfs           116M     0  116M   0% /dev/shm

      tmpfs           116M   13M  104M  11% /run

      tmpfs           116M     0  116M   0% /sys/fs/cgroup

      tmpfs           116M     0  116M   0% /tmp

      tmpfs           116M  4.2M  112M   4% /var/volatile

      /dev/mmcblk0p1   50M   17M   34M  33% /media/card

How do I go about freeing up some space here?

      Tips appreciated!

The problem is that some cards are formatted so that there is only one partition of about 50MB. The line

          /dev/mmcblk0p1   50M   17M   34M  33% /media/card

summarizes it (no matter the length of your SD card, you can use only 50MB). It happened to me and

another thread shows the same problem. I do not know the reason/s. I've solved by repartitioning. Take

          a look at

          Make partition larger on Windows
