Which disk is the bad one in Raid 1

I have a Dell Optiplex 980 with a Raid 1 consisting of two 500GB drives.   On two occasions now, my system has frozen but after powering off and turning it back on, it has rebooted successfully (taking a fair amount of time).  However, the Raid user interface reports "Sata_Array-0000 volume0:  verifying and repairing  N.%."   Presumably one of the drives has an issue (it's over 4 years old).   Is the disk that is failing the one on Port 0 or Port 1 and since the two disks are one on top of each other, how do I know which is on which port?   Is the one on top usually Port 0?

Thanks in advance for any help.
