    ssh eddie.local: getnameinfo failed

    poseid

      Hi!

      I am trying to ssh into a new Edison that I have setup with configure_edison --name

         Name: eddie2

      After reboot, I could login once. Now I get:

      $ ssh root@eddie2.local

      $ ssh_connect: getnameinfo failed

      Login via IP address works:

      $ ssh root@192.168.3.102

      Trying to debug this, I wanted to try dns-rd -B .   But I could not see the name their either.

      Thanks for your help!

          hmm, now it worked, after a restart:

          ssh root@eddie2.local

          The authenticity of host 'eddie2.local (192.168.3.102)' can't be established.

          Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no)? yes

          strange it did not work before.
