Problem getting FDTI Serial Connection to Galileo

    garbel

      Hello,

I'm sure some form of this question has been asked here on the forum but I couldn't find it so I'll post the problem I'm having.  Sorry if it's a duplicate.

I am trying to following the directions on connecting a serial terminal to the Galileo Gen2

SET UP SERIAL TERMINAL ON THE INTEL® GALILEO BOARD FOR WINDOWS*

      https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/getting-started-with-the-intel-galileo-board-on-windows

I don't see any output when I hit enter repetitively or after rebooting the board.

I assume the board is 'working' since the LEDs adjacent to the USB connector behave per the setup instructions.

      - I don't have an SD Card Inserted

      - The FTDI Driver is labeled:    CDM v2.12.00 WHQL Certified.exe

      - Doing a properties on the driver matches the the above driver

      - Using puTTY:   115200, 8-n-1

      - Configured the driver for 115200, 8-n-1 on the Port Settings tab  (not shown)

      - Rebooted

      Any ideas?

      -TIA
