When selecting 23Hz or 24Hz; they both give me 23.976Hz.
I've tried to set up a custom resolution on 24Hz (3840x2160), that works perfect, but now the 23hz (23.976) is overwritten by the new custom setting in addition to the new 24Hz. So creating a custom 3840x2160@24Hz gives me 24.000Hz on both 23Hz and 24Hz selection.
I want to have 23Hz selection to be 23.976Hz, and 24Hz to be 24.000Hz. How can this be done?

Hello TGBerland,
Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
What is that you are trying to accomplish with this?
Please reply with your graphics report:
Go to Intel® Graphics and Control Panel > Options > information Center > Save.
Or you can check the following link to get the report:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005848.html Intel® Graphics Driver Report for Graphics Drivers
Also, I will appreciate if you can post the msinfo32.
- Please press Windows Key + R to open the Run Menu
- Type msinfo32 and click OK
- While viewing the System Summary node go to File then Save (Please do not use Export)
- Save your MSINFO32 report as msinfo32.nfo on your desktop for easy access and then you can post it here
Best regards,
Ivan

My goal is the view 23.976 FPS source in 23.976Hz, and to view 24.000FPS in 24.000Hz to avoid framedrop and get smooth playback.

The TV is Samsung UE78JS9505 (Nordic edition of UE78JS9500; tuner is the difference). I know this screen supports both 23.976Hz and 24.000Hz. Running computer in OS X give me perfect 24.000Hz by the way, but OS X is not capable of transmitting binary TrueHD and DTS-HD.MA via HDMI, and besides it does not support 23.976Hz (which most US/UK blu-rays are released with). Most movies produced in the nordic countries are for some reason usually released in 24.000Hz. That is why I need both

I'm sorry I'm a little confused, so your issue has been resolved or you still have the problem?

Still not solved; not sure why the resolved part got tagged her. I can get either 23.976Hz or 24.000Hz; not both - still an issue.

Can I suggest a more practical workaround OP?
If you install MPC-HC, and use SyncRenderer and reclock, you can playback 23.976fps video at 24.0hz, and have the system reclock the audio.
I've found it a worthy compromise for the time being.

Currently I reclock the video so I play back 24.000Hz@23.976; since most bluray movies are 23.976 I found this to be the best compromise. But I really want to have both options available without reclocking the video.

Hi,
Unfortunately this is not possible with the Intel driver, maybe in the future could be add it to the driver or it will be a way to do it but the driver right now has been built as it is.
Honestly I don't see the way to do that with the Intel driver.
Best wishes,
Ivan

But that indicates you have a driver that does not solve the customers requirements; a lot of people are using intel hd-graphics for media computers. This is a common problem that should be solved. Even Nvidia and AMD got a solution for this.

This is a pretty serious issue and basically renders his media centre useless. He is better off with a 3 year old AMD machine unless the driver is fixed.

Please allow me to further investigate on this.
Before doing any further investigation could you please try the https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25860/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?product=81494 driver version 15.40.18.4380

TGBerland All I can suggest is to use linux for your HTPC.
I've been using Kodi on Arch linux and the refresh rates have been flawless - 23.976 and 24.00.
