I want to upgrade my OS to Win10 but my new i7 4790K CPU doesn't support NX

In order to upgrade one's OS to Win 10, one must have a processor that supports NX.  Over Christmas I upgraded my desktop with a new motherboard (GigaByte Z97X-SLI) and an i7 4790K 4 GHz CPU.  When I tried to upgrade to Windows 10, I got an error message that said:  This PC can't run Win 10 because the processor doesn't support a critical feature (NX).  I've since learned that NX is a feature that wards off malware.  Is there any way to fix this through a software patch or am I just stuck with a less-than-amazing processor?  Any ideas?
