    Format SATA drive

What is the procedure to initially recognizing and then format a new internal drive installed in a NUC5PGYH?  When I check in Settings, it doesn't even show the drive.

          Hi roger_c,

I understand you want to format a hard drive.

The Intel® NUC Kit 5PGYH comes with Windows® 10 32 embedded. Is it possible to see your hard drive from disk management? If not, tell me more about this drive; (new, already with personal files, OS installed, type of drive)

          Regards,
          Mike C

            Mike,

It's a new 1TB SATA drive,  that I formatted using Disk Management.

My real question is with the 'WNDOWSAPP' directory that was created during the formatting process.  It will not allow me to view this directory or allow me to change the permissions.  As a result, when I change settings to store new Apps on 'D', they still seem to end up on 'C' which is now basically full.

Did I do something wrong when I formatted the drive?

            Roger

              Hi roger_c,

The issue that you are getting is in regards your operating system instead of hardware. I recommend you to contact Microsoft Windows® support and get further assistance.

              Regards,
              Mike C
