Hello Guys,
I really need you help.
I've just bought a new build with:
CPU: Intel I7-6700K
Motherboard: ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING
RAM: HyperX FURY HX421C14FBK2/16 - 16Go Kit (2x 8Go) 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL14 DIMM
SSD: Samsung EVO 850 MZ-75E250B/EU 250 GB
with 80 PLUS 550W power supply.
and for the OS: WINDOWS 10 FRENCH HOME X20-25432.
I've installed windows several times ( fresh intall) but i always get the same error : video_tdr_failure igdkmd64.sys
i've tried to uninstall the default windows before, desactivate the device before but no solution.
i've tried drivers from INTEL, ASUS and even the windows update driver but nothing is working.
if i restart the pc i alsways get black screen keping refreshing but sometimes i dont know how if i reboot the pc several times i can get to my desktop.
i'm really disappointed, this is my first build ever i have dreamed of it.
i'm now writing using the same pc but with a linux distribution on it.
i would really appreciate any help.
thank you all

Hello, omark:
After doing my research on this, I was able to find out this is happening with different units on different platforms with different components.
I would like you to do the following:
1. Fresh install of Windows 10*
2. Install all the drivers, but leave the Graphics driver at the end.
Make sure all the drivers are installed before installing the graphics driver, below I added the graphics driver for Intel® HD Graphics 530 for 6th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors.
64-bit: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25620/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-1-10-15-40-6th-Gen- Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 7/8.1/10* [15.40 6th Gen]

I look forward to your outcome with this.

Hello Esteban,
Thank a lot for looking into this.
I've just tried what you have told me but it didn't work.
I've tries also to do it with a 2 different builds of Windows 10 HOME 64bit the November build 10586 and the 11082 build => not working.
just to explain more the behavior:
when I install the driver ( until now I've tested 4 versions , the one on my motherboard CD, the newest one on the Motherboard Website, the latest drivers on intel and the one you recommended to me).
I've tried this in UEFI ON/OFF = > didn't work.
I've installed Fedora on it => no issue ( but not sure if its not just a generic driver that it is installed)
the behavior is: at the end of the installation of the driver the screen start blinking several times and ten I get the BSOD with 2 messages:
the most of the time it is the VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE igdkmd64.sys
but in sometimes it SYSTEM_THREAD_EXEPTION_NOT_HANDELED igdkmd64.sys
I've managed twice to install the driver in safe mode buy uninstalling the old one and installing the intel driver BUT, once I restart of normal mode I get the blinkg and ends up with the BSOD's.
it is really frustrating.
Can it be related to some compatibility mode (compatibility support module) in the motherboard?
