    "Lack of updated graphics drivers"

    MikiMix

      Hello

When I press play on Minecraft it says:

      Lack of updated graphics drivers

We're sorry, but it seems there was an error while trying to render aspects of the game.

To solve this error, it is recommended that you update your graphics drivers.

I was trying to fix this problem for hours but I can't

      I have windows 10, Intel(R) HD Graphics

and I get this crash report:

      Time: 1/21/16 11:33 AM

Which driver are you using right now? You can check that in device manager --> graphics adapters --> select your intel graphics adapter --> go to the driver tab .

It could also be good to know which processor you have, because then you can know the driver you have to look for.

When I go to driver tab, there is:
            Intel(R) HD Graphics
            Driver Provider:     Intel Corporation
            Driver Date:     5/27/150
            Driver Version:       9.17.10.4229

Okay, can you go to device manager --> processors and give the processor model that is listed there.

Please also go to 'system' by right-clicking on the start button and selecting System. There you will see which type of system that you're using: 32-bit or 64-bit.

With this information a more recent driver (if there is any) will be found.

                I have:

                Processor:  Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B820 @ 1.70GHz 1.70 GHz

System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

                  michael.

This is the most recent driver, but Windows 10 is not officially supported.

Download Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8-64-bit

It is however (and most likely) possible that the driver will work fine, be be sure to backup your information on your laptop.

Anyway I know someone who uses the same driver on Windows 10, and there is only 1 problem: when he reboots his computer he has to put it in sleep mode and wake it up again before the screen will work. I would recommend you to do the following: go to the power management of your computer, and look at the left side for the setting to change the behaviour of the power button. Set the behaviour of the power button to sleep mode. If you can't see anything when your computer reboots (after like 15 seconds) you just have to push the power button once, wait until the computer is in sleep mode and push the power button again. Once again, I hope that you don't need to put it to sleep mode when you reboot your laptop, but it's better to know it in advance than having a problem

Please comment here if it works or not, good luck.

can you tell me step by step?

                    like this:

1: open power management (how to open)

                    2: .....

                    3: .....

sorry if I want too much

Yes, you can do it like this:

                      1. Open the control panel by right clicking on the start menu en selecting 'Control Panel'.

                      2. Type in the search bar: Power options

                      3. Click on the line text that says: 'Change what the power buttons do'.

                      4. Change the behaviour of the power button to 'Sleep Mode'. Normally you won't have to change anything because that is the default setting, but it's better to verify it.

Remember, if the issue occurs, just push the power button once (don't hold it) and wait until the computer is in sleep mode (let's say that it takes most of the time around 5-10 seconds). Then: push a random keyboard key to wake it up again.

Normally there won't be any problems, but you never know... good luck

after I do that should I start Minecraft?

                          michael.

When you've checked the power options, you can install the driver and then probably the computer will ask for a reboot. That's why I've given you instructions about what to do when you would have a dark screen when the computer has restarted. When the driver is installed and the computer is rebooted (if it asks for it), Minecraft should probably be able to start.

The driver can be found here: Download Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows* 7/8-64-bit

k I installed the driver and it waned me to restart my computer,

when I restarted my computer I saw some command prompt after 10 seconds the command prompt has closed.

I started Minecraft and its not working

Okay, the the command prompt that you saw was normal.

                              Which error is Minecraft giving?

On the Minecraft forums it says that a possible fix would be uninstalling all java versions that are installed and installing the Minecraft package with Java bundled.

Okay, so maybe it could work if you uninstall all java versions that are installed and then install the Minecraft package with Java bundled.

You can uninstall the java versions by right clicking on the start button, and going to programs and features. There you will see a list of installed software, where you will see Java. Uninstall all Java versions and download the version of Minecraft with Java bundled from the Minecraft site. On the Minecraft forum they said to install the Minecraft.msi that is said that it doesn't requires Java installed on your computer. It's possible that it'll work this way.

If the solution above doesn't work:

If you upgraded to Windows 10 less than a month ago, you can go back to your previous OS (before you upgraded to Windows 10) and Minecraft should still work fine if it was working fine before you upgraded.
