Hi,
I have a laptop with an Intel Core i7-4510U processor which means that, according to ARK, it has also Intel HD Graphics 4400.
When use the Intel Driver Update Utility I get as latest driver the Intel HD Graphics Driver for Windows 10 64bit (3rd Gen & BYT).
As far as I know I need the 4th gen driver...
Can someone look into this problem please? Or am I wrong and is this completely normal?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Michael,
There is an issue with the previous version of our tool Intel® Driver Update Utility. Please uninstall and delete the previous version and install the newest version 2.4.0.5.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24345/Intel-Driver-Update-Utility Download Intel Driver Update Utility
The latest graphics driver for HD 4400 is the following

Remember to run Windows® 10 update, the tool will check if there is any new driver missing.

Thank you for your answer.
I have done what you've said, but the driver that is recognized is still the Windows 10 64bit (3rd Gen & BYT) driver.
I think that the issue is still present in this version of the Intel Driver Update Utility.
Regards,
Michael

I have same issue.
My Note PC has Intel Core i7 4650U and it should be Intel® HD Graphics 5000.
The newest version (2.4.0.5) of Intel® Driver Update Utility released on Jan-19-2016 detects it as (3rd Gen & BYT).
Mine is NOT 3rd Gen. It's 4th Gen.
and...
currently I have driver version 20.19.15.4300 but NEWEST Utility is suggesting to install 15.33.38.64.4252 (10.18.10.4252).
So confusing
I don't know what to believe...
Also the naming rule of Intel driver version is so complicated right now.
How can you compare which one is new?
20.19.15.4300 vs 15.33.38.64.4252 (10.18.10.4252)
I hope that Intel fixes Driver Update Utility asap and change Naming Rule for driver version more simple.

If you type in "Intel Graphics 5000" in downloadcenter.intel.com you can see a suggestion and if you click on that, you will be taken to a page where you can find the relevant downloads. The most recent one for our generation (the 4th gen) is this one: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25489/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen- Download Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 [15.40][4th Gen]
I have it installed and I also get 20.19.15.4300 as driver version when I look in the device manager so I guess that's alright. Normally it's also the first number that counts in a version number.
It's really annoying that we can't trust the Intel Driver Update Utility I hope our complaints will be heard!

Hi All,
I regret any inconvenience caused. Intel® is still updating the data base of Intel® Update Utility.
It is possible update the driver with the following methods.
1) Type the version of the HD graphics in the Search Download box. Example: HD 4600
2) How to Manually Install an Intel® Graphics Driver
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/graphics-drivers/000005629.html
3) Using laptop manufacturer website. (Best option for laptops) Manufacturers usually customize our drivers.
