5i5RYK F12 Network Boot Security Flaw (Skips Password Prompt)

I am running the latest version of the BIOS (RY0352).  Normally when you press F12 on boot, it will ask you for the BIOS password before network booting.  However, if users wait until the first splash screen appears and THEN press F12, it skips the password prompt.  If this is an intended feature it would be good to know, but it is strange how normally it asks for a password.  Am I just being stupid?  I have attached a video for reference: 5i5RYK Bios F12 Network Boot Security Bug - YouTube

If this is a bug, can this be escalated to a member of the development team somehow?
