Intell 4400 resolution issue

I have Intel 4400 and an Apple Cinema Display monitor. The monitor is connected to HP Pavillion 500-336 via a DVI-D cable. The resolution it is showing is 1280x 800 but the monitor has a resolution capable of 2560x1600. I cannot change the resolution setting. Any help?

Any resolution result may vary depending on your BIOS configuration, EDID of the T.V and custom resolution created by your computer manufacturer; I would recommend to check with your computer manufacturer to check if this monitor is fully compatible with PC.
