Hello technooby,
This answer might be negative! Please compare http://ark.intel.com/products/82931/Intel-Core-i7-5930K-Processor-15M-Cache-up-to-3_70-GHz?q=%20i7-5930K i7-5930K with http://ark.intel.com/products/83349/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5-2603-v3-15M-Cache-1_60-GHz?q=Xeon%20E5-2603%20v3 e5-2603 v3 for details. According to http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Z10PED8_WS/specifications/ ASUSTek website, this mobo is designed for Intel® Socket 2011-3 for Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 v3 product family. But when old those days, LGA 771 based XEON processors could also be adapted to work on desktop class-level LGA775 mobo. So I suggest you inquire the support information from ASUSTek.
Best Regards,
Aaron Janagewen

I7-5930K or Xeon E5-2600 V3 Xeon E5-1600 V3 are pins compatible. I7-5930K and Xeon E5-1600 V3 are single socket CPU which QPI circuit being turned off.
If you use 2 I7-5930K on that ASUS board, BIOS can only detect Socket 0, where it connect to PCH --> BIOS..
If you use one I7-5930K on socket 0 then it should work.
For your reference here is the motherboard support I7 and E5-2600 V3, E5-1600 V3
