I checked the power management properties for both devices. Both mouse and KB were already checked to permit them to wake the computer. Plus I have the recommended BIOS already.
I did manage to outsmart this bug. I have an NEC monitor with 4 usb ports and attached a spare mechanical mouse to one of them. It can wake the computer up. The BT KB and mouse continue to work.
Another observation is that you cannot boot into BIOS by F2 with a Bluetooth KB. And once you get in the BT mouse doesn't work either. So there seems to be no hardware support for BT, just software after you have allowed the OS to boot. You need wireless or mechanical to work in the BIOS.
