    intel compute stick sleep script

    cstambaugh

      Hello

I am using this stick for a kiosk board to display some minor interactive content. I am trying to have the unit go to sleep automatically at 6 pm and wake at 6 am. I have tried every script I can find online, with them doing nothing at all. I have tried with the BIOS setting to always on, and always off... same results. I did find one VB script that turns the power off completely. I know I can set the power settings to sleep itself after so long without inactivity, but I want a definite off at least. Wake up can be done by USB touch screen if needed.

      Ive tried :

      Rundll32.exe Powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState Sleep

after running powercfg -h off  (to turn off hybernation)

I have also tried several other scripts I had found but none seem to work on this unit. I am running Win 8.1 Professional (for networking purposes)

      Any help would be great.

      Thanks

      Chris

          Hi cstambaugh,

It is possible to hibernate your stick using Windows® 10 feature.

          The steps are below:

Right click the start button, select Control Panel, System and Security, Power Options, Change plan settings (blue), Change advanced power settings (blue), in the new window select Sleep and change the option: Hibernate after.

It will turn off after 3 to 5 minutes.

          Regards,
          Mike C
