Thank you for contacting the Intel Communities.
I was able to see and verify a device using the interface thunderbolt in the device manager of my system.
Please make sure that a device is connected to this interface so you can be able to see the device in the device manager.
Do not hesitate to advise me with your outcome regarding this.
Thanks for your reply. I have a USB 3.0 Hub / Ethernet adapter with a USB-C connector plugged into the port. I do not yet have a Thunderbolt device. I checked Device Manager again, this time I turned on "Show hidden devices". I did see a few more devices but no Thunderbolt. It does show an Intel USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller. This particular port is a combination USB 3.1 Gen 2 / Thunderbolt port. Under what category are you seeing the Thunderbolt device and how is it named.
I checked the BIOS and there is an entry for USB/Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt is enabled.
Thank you for the information provided.
In order to be see the thunderbolt drivers, you would need to have connected a thunderbolt device in its port.
Note that if the port is being used and the device is an USB hub, the drivers would be seen under USB.
