NUC5PPYH - cant get OS (win 7) to install

    ARAwtry

I bought the kit from newegg and have the 8GB (G.Skill F3-1600C11S-8GSL) and a Seagate 1TB SSHD (SN: W7724PAG).

I used a USB stallation stick to try and put on Win 7 home premium.  I get past the first grey progress bar and to the language screen (1st screen) and then I get no response.  my guess is that the mouse and keyboard (both usb, of course) are not responding.  I cannot select  anything, or continue the installation.

I pulled out the HDD and installed it on my PC, and was able to install Win 7 on this HDD with the hope that I could then put it back in the NUC and get it to fire up.  no luck.  it says there is a problem during bootup and the next screen I get I am back to the same problem:  no mouse or keyboard support.

can someone help me get past this step?

do I have a configuration issue?  I saw a few posts that suggest the memory might be an issue...

      Thanks,
