Hello, I'm trying to build my first server, using Intel Server Board S1200V3RPL and
Intel Xeon E3-1220v3.
My problem is in Intel Ark website, it stated I'm gonna need DDR3L ECC RAM,
which I don't know where to buy from (I'm in Bali, Indonesia). Supplier here only have DDR3 ECC.
I already search around to find answer if regular voltage DDR3 ECC (not low voltage DDR3L ECC)
can be used with this board, but cannot find definitive answer.
For example this web from Crucial said this regular DDR3 ECC 1,5V RAM can be used for S1200V3RPL
Any help will be much appreciated. I cannot afford to buy wrong RAM.
My budget very tight, which is why I opted to build my own server.
According to the Technical Product Specification we suggest using memory with the following specifications exclusively:
-Two memory channels, four memory DIMMs (Two memory DIMMs per channel).
-Support for 1333/1600 MT/s Unbuffered (UDIMM DDR3L ECC memory).
-No support for RDIMMs.
-No support for SODIMMs.
-No support for mixing ECC and non-ECC UDIMMs
