    Wifi problem win 10

    Akermania

      Hi,

I have the compute stick for 3 month now.

Last 3 days Im getting "limited" connection from the network .

All the other computers/ phones are working fine .

And if it's not "limited" the internet works very very slow.

The router is 0.3 meters from the stick .

Until 3 days ago it worked fine.

      Drivers and bios are updated.

      Help?

          Hello Akermania,

Thank you for joining the Intel communities.

Please try uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it, you can download the latest driver here:

Download Wireless: Realtek* wireless driver for Windows 10*

Please be aware that the onboard Realtek RTL8723BS wireless adapter the Intel® Compute Stick is an SDIO adapter; SDIO is inherently slower than PCIe-based wireless adapters. Wi-Fi speeds can be very slow, depending on many factors:

If there are other Wi-Fi routers nearby. Router channel is set to Auto (and so is everyone else’s).

Interference from other devices (mobile phones, cordless phones, microwaves, Bluetooth devices, or baby monitors.

          Workarounds:

Try to eliminate interference with nearby wireless devices (like microwave, cordless phones).

Experiment with setting the router channel to a specific one, not Auto. Note: 2.4GHz can use channels 1, 6, and 11.

Disable the onboard wireless in BIOS and use a USB-based Ethernet adapter. Wired Ethernet is always going to be faster than Wi-Fi

          Regards!

          Ivan
