          Hi extraleft,

Could you please provide with more information of your system? I will need motherboard model and processor at least. If you have an Intel motherboard, the drivers available are for Windows® 7, 8 and 8.1.

I suggest you to verify BIOS settings, check if UEFI and Legacy Boot are enable then; I recommend you to run Windows® 10 update utility, it will provide with all the missing drivers.

The chipset and Management Engine drivers need to be updated first.

Hi, I'm having the same problem, could you fix it?

              • 4. Re: USB 3.0 drivers missing

                Hi extraleft and Michel@89,

I suggest you to update the BIOS. I noted you are using BIOS version 205 and the latest version is 210. Update the drivers available at Asus website too.

                  Hi mikec_intel,

My notebook is an ASUS X453MA, and I already have my latest BIOS version, downloaded from the ASUS website, so as the drivers, I'm running a Windows10 Pro Edition and Asus doesn't provides any driver for usb 3.0 in their website,

                  thanks for your help anyway

I should mention that the notebook came with bios UEFI boot enabled and I changed it to Legacy in order to be able of install a Windows7 Pro edition, because in UEFI mode, it gave me some problems

                      Hi Michel@89

In many computers if UEFI is disable USB 3.0 ports will work as USB 2.0 only. Windows® 7 is considered as Legacy.

Double check if the BIOS of your computer has the option to set UEFI and Legacy boot enable at the same time.

                        Hi mikec_intel,

I finally solved my problem, it was very simple. There is a label named USB configuration in BIOS setup and it has an option named XHCI configuration, this option was disabled, I guess that happened when I updated the BIOS. So I just enable This option and now everything is OK.

                        Thanks for your help,

                          Hi Michel@89,

Thank you for your feedback. Extensible Host Controller Interface activates the compatibility of USB ports with version 3.0.
