Intel HD 5500 and Fallout 4

Hello everyone! I wanted to know if the Intel HD 5500 will be updated and optimized for games like Fallout 4 or Batman Arkham Knight, since in both especially in the Fallout game crashes very often, and when you start and while you play after a few minutes or in certain places is impossible to play just because it closes and the graphics card stops working) ... these problems are very similar in Batman AK.

My notebooks is a ASUS X554L, driver Intel: 15.40.10.4300

Intel® Core™ i3-5005U Processor (3M Cache, 2.00 GHz), Intel® HD Graphics 5500, 12Gb ram, Windows 10 64 bit

Hello thanks for the reply, I tried the new beta driver and I noticed a slight improvement in framerate, however the problem is left, after a few minutes the game suddenly closes without giving any error ...

A very positive thing, however, is that playing with the lower resolution to 800x450 or the game goes to 30 fps up to even 50 ... while in 1280x720 amounted to no more than 20 fps.

Do you have other tips for me?

I still hope that somehow the next driver will solve these problems

Hi Nikola87,

Please try a clean installation of the graphics driver (remove and delete old driver, restart computer with no Graphics driver, screen resolution is decreased and brightness will change to defaults after uninstalling the driver)

Uninstalling the driver and then reinstall it, you can follow the steps how to uninstall it here:

Make sure you have all the drivers updated from your system manufacture website, chipset driver management etc, and also it will be good to have Windows up to date. Restart your system after installing every driver.

Please check if there is any temperature issue when you run the game, try with a third party temperature monitor, you could use maybe the open hardware monitor.

But installing the drivers should fix it? because with the other games there is no problem, I tried Project cars, final fantasy type 0, assetto corsa and although with a lower framerate never stopped working, only fallout 4 and batman ak send crash video card after a few minutes of video game

I installed the drivers as I have advised you, but the problem remained, after a few seconds or minutes the game suddenly closes and returns to detskop.

I believe that this video card has not full support for this game and needs updating ...

I'm sorry to hear that you still have the same problem with the Beta driver; at this point I recommend waiting for a new driver version to come up.

as ever for the OS Win 7 and 8.1 were released new drivers the 14/12, while for Win 10 still nothing ??

Hello I noticed that in the download page was released a new driver version 1.21.2016, but turns out to be earlier than the last driver current fact in the changelog says that was released August 5, 2015 .. it is an error or is the correct driver ??

Just to make sure, did you try the driver I posted above and you have the same problem?

Please be aware that this is a heavy game and you probably need better graphics in order to run it like a video card. Here is a link that can help you:

As you can see the minimum and recommended requirements we will need to use a video card.

I tried long ago and happened the same problem. However I have seen around that there are many videos of people who have the hardware requirements of their lower my laptop, for instance on a hd 4600 the game works well. The strange thing is that it worked before the beginning I was able to play for an hour plentiful, but now it crashes all the time and I can not understand the cause. I installed the driver Beta 15.40.12.4326 and the problem remains even if this time it worked for a short time and then crashed. I think the end is a problem of the game that is not well optimized for the Intel graphics, or it takes a fix from Intel.

Hello I finally found a way to solve this problem of the crash, with a mod tool.

Obviously this is only a temporary method to start the game but after a while the problem returns and therefore must Intel solves this problem also afflicts other games ... Greetings.

Hello, I've been testing the new beta driver 15.40.18.4380 with Fallout 4 and, I played for over an hour without having any type of crash, the game now looks perfect to go.

I really hope this continues and in the meantime I take this opportunity to thank Intel for the excellent work he has done with this driver.
