I have a Dell XPS400 with a Pentium D 820 2.80ghz cpu 800mhz. I want to upgrade to a 3.2 or 3.4 ghz. I don't want to upgrade the system board so I want to stay with a pentium D as I have found there are still alot of them around. My question is how do I figure out which cpu model# will work on my system? OS is XP media center. Thanks.

suggest to try Pentium D 9xx processors, it is 65nm and much cooler than 8xx processors. But it may take some time for you to find it
