Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
The Intel® NUC Kit NUC5i5MYHE has also a Custom Solutions Header with PCIe x4 lanes that you can use, you can see here:
See page 50, 51
very good to know the custom solutions header, do you know if there is any part that i can purchase to covert the pcie x4 to m.2 type m port? or any other pci-e application?
I’m not sure honestly where you can find one, but you should be able to find this parts at any authorized computer parts reseller or any local shop.
Thanks anyway, for the Custom Solutions Header, do you know the name of the port? maybe i can find the component by port?
According with the Technical Product Specification the connector used is the Kyocera Series 6885 0.4 mm pitch FPC connector, p/n 00 6885 640 000 846.
After extensive research, this seems to be a ghost part / vaporware. Unless, you're interested in ordering in bulk from Kyocera themselves (min. 2000 units, 12-16 weeks lead time). Rather, look to other manufacturers for 0.4mm FPC parts.
Have you source any alternative for 0.4mm FPC parts? We are interested in PCIe or miniPCI type of flex cable?
