At this stage, I recommend manual installation of the latest graphics driver.
Download the zip version of the video driver:
Windows® 8.1 32 bit
File name: win32_153339.zip
Windows® 8.1 64 bit
File name: win64_153339.zip
I think this may just be a numbering issue. When I install the linked driver file manually, I get the message "Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date" (Intel(R) HD Graphics).
As a test, I ran the setup file that came with this driver download. This time I see it is attempting to install the same driver I already have (10.18.10.4276 dated 8/17/15). Plus it installs an Intel Graphics Control Panel which I don't need.
So is 10.18.10.4276 the current driver for my system, and this other number from the update utility (18.104.22.16842) something else altogether?
Ok, so, you are currently running the latest video drivers. That's great.
