Have you tried to install each of the IDEs(Arduino, Eclipse and XDK) individually? You can also download the Flash Tool Lite separately and/or you can use the flashall script to flash the image.

First, start with downloading the Flash Tool Lite (Manual - IoT - Flash Tool Lite User Manual | Intel® Developer Zone). For this you will need to also download the Release 2.1 Yocto* complete image

Thanks for the tip. I'm so new, I didn't even know exactly what was in the package, let alone the fact of the separate availability of each of the components. Wish I had known before wiping my Arch install :S

Just edit pset/install.cab using vim. Make sure to launch vim in binary mode : vim -b install.cab
replace instances of 15.04 by 15.10. Worked for me.
