Which image version do you have on your board? Run the command configure_edison --version
Are you behind a proxy?
Is your network connection stable?
Could you attach a file with the content of /home/root/opencv-3.0.0/CMakeFiles/CMakeError.log and /home/root/opencv-3.0.0/CMakeFiles/CMakeOutput.log
Thanks for your reply
I get "159.devkit" when I run the command configure_edison --version
I just flashed to the latest Yocto image (2.1) so I believe it is not a firmware issue.
I am not behind a proxy. My network connection is stable as I am able to access it via SSH (Via WinSCP). Is there any specific method to test if my network connection is stable?
Have attached the 2 files requested for reference.
Thanks and Regards!
Try with the image version 159 – WW25 : http://downloadmirror.intel.com/25028/eng/edison-image-ww25.5-15.zip
I flashed the Edison with this image using the flashall.bat script and after running the following line, I didn’t get problems:
# cmake -D WITH_IPP=ON -D WITH_TBB=ON -D BUILD_TBB=ON -D WITH_CUDA=OFF -D WITH_OPENCL=OFF -D BUILD_SHARED_LIBS=OFF -D BUILD_PERF_TESTS=OFF -D BUILD_TESTS=OFF .
In the logs you attached, it looks like the compiler is not able to find some files. I suggest you to use the image version 159 and run again the command for cmake.
Are you changing something in the line for cmake?
I am still unable to get it to work even with when flashing with the image link you provided.
I flashed with Intel Phone Flash Tool through, which I don't think will make much of a difference.
I did not modify the line for cmake and copy and pasted it into my PuTTY to run.
Have attached the latest error log.
I tried again and had no errors, I did the following:
1. Download the image: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/25028/eng/edison-image-ww25.5-15.zip
2. Flash the board using the flashall script: How to Run the Flashall Script
3. Open a Terminal session and type configure_edison --setup to set the password, name and WiFi network of the board
4. On the Terminal:
# cd ~ # wget https://github.com/Itseez/opencv/archive/3.0.0.zip # unzip 3.0.0.zip # cd opencv-3.0.0 # cmake -D WITH_IPP=ON -D WITH_TBB=ON -D BUILD_TBB=ON -D WITH_CUDA=OFF -D WITH_OPENCL=OFF -D BUILD_SHARED_LIBS=OFF -D BUILD_PERF_TESTS=OFF -D BUILD_TESTS=OFF . # make -j2
Also, please check that you are not having issues with your network, the problems you are having seems to be while fetching, are you behind a proxy?
If you could, try with another network to see if you get improvements.
