    DG45ID won't ID PCIe card

For some reason, my DG45ID (in a new homebrew) won't correctly ID a 1-lane PCIe card I'm installing... returns a generic "PCI communications device" descriptor, which prevents the correct driver from installing. The device is a fairly mainstream Blackmagic Designs card... recognized/installs readily on other MB's. Is this a known DG45ID problem? If not, how can I get this card recognized? [Win7/32b, 0117 BIOS]

Communications drivers are always a problem so simplify as much as possible.  Uninstall the driver if it installed and the card, install the Management Engine driver and then the PCIe card and driver.  This assumes you missed the problem device for the ME.
