I am looking at one of the following

I currently have a http://ark.intel.com/products/66889/Intel-Centrino-Wireless-N-2230-Single-Band Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 2230, Single Band card in my laptop and it is faulty.

Which one would be the better replacement for my laptop and would they work? I know the 7260 is the best but not sure if it will work with my laptop.

Attached is my laptop specs. It is LIFEBOOK AH532/G52.

silent001,

Thank you for the detailed information. In this particular case, we recommend that you contact your computer manufacturer as they are the only ones entitled to do any changes in the system regarding hardware and software. Check with them what are the Intel(R) Wireless Adapters compatible with your system. When replacing it, make sure it done by a Computer Manufacturer Authorized Service Center and using an OEM Wireless Card in order to avoid issues.

On the other hand, we would like to inform you that Intel does not support integration which is when the original wireless card is replaced by another one. Please check these links for further information.

silent001,

We do understand your frustration as we would like to clarify as to why we do not support integration.

Our products are not meant to reach end-users outright. They were meant to used by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) where they do all the necessary adaptations in order to be compatible with an specific system and this implies; voltage, features that are added or removed...etc. Unfortunately you can find such Intel(R) Wireless Adapters sold out there indiscreminately and when a end-user buys a wireless adapter ( and this go for any well known brand ) without the requirements and adaptations done by the OEM, inconvenients related to its connections and features may occurs keeping the user from enjoying all the unique benifits that only an Intel(R) Wireless Adapter can offer. Your OEM should be able to provide the list of Intel(R) Wireless Adapters that are compatible with their system in order to avoid any discontentment.
