Hi guys, my friend got into some trouble ATM. He bought i7 4790k and he got the 4790k box but there was actually G1840 inside the box. BUT he found this out after he put it out of the box.
So I want to ask if he can still RMA it as he got wrong CPU or it can't be done because he already opened it?
Many thanks in advance

Hi DeathMade,
In regards your case, it is possible to replace your processor. Intel requires the processor markings FPO number from the processor itself plus the Batch number and Serial Number from the processor box and it is necessary to send a copy of the invoice (proof of purchase of the processor).
Please contact our Customer support team and request the replacement.
