    Audio Driver on Win7 - x38BT

      Anyone have this issue?

Audio is intermittent upon Win7-64 boot on x38BT.

"No Audio Device Installed" in taskbar message.  Intel Troubleshooting efforts appear circular.  Latest BIOS and Chipset*.INF haven't resolved.  Device manager won't show "Sound, Video, Game Controllers" category.  System devices shows "High Definition Audio Controller".  This uses a generic Microsoft driver: 07.13.2009, version 6.1.7600.16385.

Should the Intel x38BT board be using generic (UAA) microsoft drivers?  Surely there is a problem preventing correct install of the Intdriver.  Inspection of the REGISTRY shows references to "amd64"  shouldn't this be "x86"

      Help!  Suggestions please ...
