Hi everyone,
I bought the Asus Zenpad 8.0 tablet which in the vendor's specifications mounts the Intel Atom X3-3200 processor with 4 cores @ 1.2 Ghz.
However, when I checked the system info from /proc/cpu I found out that the processor ranges from 416-900 Mhz.
I checked online, but I cannot find the exact specifications of this processor line. I found this document (https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2015/04/09/introducing-intel-atom-x3-code-named-sofia-soc-processor-series Introducing Intel® Atom™ x3 (Code-Named "SoFIA") SoC Processor Series | Intel® Developer Zone) where it says that the x3-3230RK processor has frequency up to 1.2 Ghz, while here (http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/atom/atom-x3-c3000-brief.html Intel® Atom™ x3 Processor Series Product Brief) it says it goes up to 1.1 Ghz. While I'm not sure what processor I actually have (I only know it's from the series x3-3200) the information I found is really confusing. The two documents provide two different frequencies (for the model x3-3230RK) and in any case mine is lower than that. The processor doesn't appear on intel's site with specs. I cannot find any valuable information.
Can anyone help me understand better what processor I have (the /proc/cpu says simply "Genuine Intel @ 728") and what are the actual specs.
Thank you!

I reply my own question. As far as I understood the tablet (model z380c) is underclocked by manufacturer, probably to increase battery life.

Hello MSX-1914,
In this case this specific processor is handled by http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/embedded-design-center.html Intel® Embedded Design Center, they will be able to assist you with your inquiry.
Regards,
Amy.
