"Download Linux version of IPDT" is very bad

This link:

Ultimately leads you to this ISO:

http://www.tcsscreening.com/files/users/IPDT_LiveUSB/LiveUSB/Fedora20/f20_64b-xfce-2.20.0.0.L.MP.iso http://www.tcsscreening.com/files/users/IPDT_LiveUSB/LiveUSB/Fedora20/f20_64b-xfce-2.20.0.0.L.MP.iso

That uses this Kickstart file:

http://paste.fedoraproject.org/271239/14431285/ # 271239 • Fedora Project Pastebin

That has this line:

clearpart --all --initlabel --drives=sda

My question is... Why? Why is there not a disclaimer that says "Hey, clicking on the "Install" button will delete all information on your hard drive without prompting you!" A better question is, why is this line in there at all? Why not prompt the user to select partitioning?

Also, Fedora 20 is EOL.

The Intel diagnostic tool does not have a line that will delete your data. Probably you were trying to create a bootable drive but you select the wrong drive. Bear in mind that when you create bootable flash drive it will deleted the partition first

  • "The Intel diagnostic tool does not have a line that will delete your data."

I never said this. Notice I mention "Kickstart File" which has to do with the OS installation process.

  • "Bear in mind that when you create bootable flash drive it will deleted the partition first"

That's good info. But, it brings me back to my previous point:

"A better question is, why is this line in there at all? Why not prompt the user to select partitioning?"

Why is there no information about bootable drives that says "It will erase your data without warning."
