    Intel Edison GPIO 3,3V

      Hello,

I am currently working in a project involving an Intel Edison where our goal is to integrate the compute module (the edison chip alone)  in a custom PCB we are designing. The Edison will communicate with another MCU in the PCB through an UART connection. Our problem is that our other MCU works at 3'3V logic, while in the Edison documentation it states that it's GPIO is driven at 1.8V.

We were wondering if the intel edison is able to change the output level from 1.8V to 3.3V of it's GPIO though the linux SO, as it contains a power module that outputs a reference of 3.3V through one of it's pins. That would get rid of the necessity of including a level shifter for the UART connection.

      Thank you,

      Gabriel.
