Here are the tested and validated list of hardware for this board.
Unfortunately there are only video controllers on the list.
Hopefully, someone else can let you know whether other cards work fine on this board.
All the best,
Thanks, rajiv for your help, do you know that 8x video card is available in indian market or not ?
This board does have an onboard graphics.
Now regarding the external gfx card, i have checked with one of my friend who has this board, apparently, he thinks that most of the ATI GFX (pci-e) should work compared to Nvidia. As stated earlier, since there are no other validated gfx cards, you will need to test it yourself.
Now concerning the availability for the gfx card on the indian market, i have no clue at all. You may need to check it from google shoppping. :-)
All the best,
I'd like to understand what are you planning to do with the add-on graphics card... The S3000AH is targeting entry level general purpose server, so it's not designed to provide high performance graphics. The on-board video controller is enough for OS GUI/application. If you need dual display, I'm sorry to tell you that the on-board graphics controller does not support dual video mode. When an add-in video card is populated, the on-board video controller is automatically disabled. Also, only legacy PCI 32/33 video card has been validated on this server, which may not deliver really high video performance.
If you really need high performance video, you may want to use a workstation board like S975XBX2 or WX58BP.
Hi Edward, thanks for the solution. It is really bad that i can't use good video card in S3000 AH, it is a total loss of money for me. Can you tell me how is the performance of PCI 32/33 video card, will it be able to play some games.
Tested card is based on ATI Radeon 9200/9200SE. I don't have any performance data but I believe you can google.
