what are you missing on the dx58so?
Just wondering if they are making a new motherboard. The rest was just background.
just a bios update would be requered, you can use the i9 on lga1366 motherboards.
now the samples are running on REX2, classified and Gigabyte ex58-extreme mobo's.
Funny how people just don't answer the question. Is intel coming out with a new Mobo or not? I also would like to know. Some detail would be appreciated.
Hi, the answer is yes. Intel is going to release the DX58SO2, which should include support for up to 24 GB on 6 memory slots, 12 USB 3.0 and 10 SATA 6 Gb/s connectors.
Also it is going to include 3xPCIe 2.0 16x, 2xPCI-E 1x, 1xPCI, 10 channels audio and a dual 10/100/1000 ethernet.
I just posted a few questions about this a day ago, but no one answered me.
I don't have a clue about when Intel is going to release this new motherboard, they said q4 2010, but we are almost finishing november and there is no news on this. They also said launching fall 2010, but I guess it's a quite later to believe on this.
I hope they don't launch this motherboard just a week after I build my new computer...
Sounds like a nice board!
(currently using DP55KGs)
I think Intel is going to release two boards od LGA 1366 series on Q4 '10.
I found the information here ..
One more proof I have is this model names are already updated in intel website by stating RAID supported motherboard...
Sorry if I sounded out of line. That is good info. I had just finished a 10 day working spree and was a little on edge. I was thinking of building another computer and was looking at other boards, but as usual I always came back to Intel. My current board is a D945PVS that I built 4 years ago.
