It looked like ubilinux was going to be THE os for edison as far as I was concerned but the company is not able to offer ANY support for this os from what I have seen.
So the breaking point for me was the inablilty to change speed on the i2c bus. It looks like this requires a kernel recompile.
Being an embedded device you would think edison would always have these options enabled but oh well...
So if not ubilinux then what??? I'm not sure I'm a fan of yocto.
There were some others working on debian ports, are they still around???
Any advice would be welcome.
Unfortunately the only supported OS for Edison is Yocto. There are some users that have created ports of Debian, however the one that stands out is Ubilinux. I'm sorry I don't have a better response.
