I've recently purchased an intel computestick with ubuntu 14lts(Model: 1A8LFC), but want to install my xubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-i386.iso.
I've tried using unetbootin, Rufus, and lili live usb creators for both GPT and MBR partition schemes, using fat32 partitioning, but the computestick refuses to display the USB memory stick as a bootable device in the F10 boot menu and F2 UEFI boot order. Boot from USB is enabled and secure boot is disabled, I've even tried other USB drives and even a 16gb microSD card, and nothing seems to be working. Any ideas on what I should try next?
In this case just bear in mind that the built-in version for your Compute Stick is Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and if you try to install a different operating system version the warranty will be void.
