I bought the NUC5i5RYH as a companion for my SAMSUNG Ultra HD TV a couple of weeks ago. Since then I never managed to get any display resolution higher than 3840x2160@30Hz on the Mini DP connected to my TV. As for the specifications of the Mini DP 1.2 and the capabilities of my TV (UE55HU7200) I am supposed to get 3840x2160 at 60Hz, at least that's what I bought it for. I am using these Moshi adapters to connect to my TVs HDMI ports:
with the first in conjunction with a HDMI 2.0 compliant connection cable.
Once I replace the NUC by my MacBook Pro 15 Retina (Late 2013) I directly manage to display 4K@60Hz using the same adapter & cables, so it is not likely to be a matter of the connection or my TV. I installed both the latest BIOS and graphic card drivers on my NUC, still no success. Does anybody manage to get his NUC5i5RYH to display 4K@60Hz already and if so with what kind of adapter? And why am I not able to get that resolution with my NUC working?
In this case, for better results we recommend using straight connection as we have not validated using any adapters.
You should be able to get 3840x2160 at 60Hz as you’re saying, but we recommend you using straight connection from mini DP to a displayport monitor.
