I have already tried Ubilinux. But however the support community is not so active there so unfortunately I had drop plan to work with ubilinux.
Ubuntu has large community support so I was thinking if it can work on edison, than that would be great.
- It should be possible but it needs you to port everything to the Intel Edison platform, which requires a lot of work. For this in particular there is no documentation or tutorials on how to do it.
- It is also possible but the problem with apt-get is that it requires pre-compiled packages for the board in a hosted repository, which is the same behavior with opkg. There is a post that already discussed this topic.
I hope this information helps.
