The Intel® unite you can have it depending on the device you purchase, this technology comes already integrated in a laptop or Tablet, you will need to consult with the vendor to find out what device will include this technology.
Right, got that. So If I buy an Intel NUC to connect to my projector, I assume then I just need a laptop that is compatible with the vpro hardware? But don't I still need software? How do I get that software?
I’m not sure if we are talking about the same software, if you need the Intel® Unite Software, that software has not been released yet, but if you need to use a remote connection using Vpro technology, please ask about this information to the following email address:
Please let me know.
Yes, I am talking about the Unite software. The software advertised in this link - Smart, Secure Conference Room Technology—Intel® Unite™
If it hasn't been released yet, is there some documentation or information about when it will be? Seems kind of strange to market a product that you can use? Intel markets and highlights the Unite software but the only link to get it seems to be in the form of purchasing hardware that is shown on the page. That makes me believe that if I purchase the hardware, it get this software.
That website is the one we have available to the customers, in this case, let me escalate your request to find out when the product will be released.
The Intel® Unite™ App is still not available for public download and there is still no release date, my recommendation is to keep checking on the web site for any update.
Is there any update on this? Just bought a new NUC because of your Unite advertisment.
It seems like Dell offers it on their support website:
Also you mention the software your standalone guide:
2. Browse the drive of the Mini-PC or the PC to be used as a Hub, and identify the location of the folder or media provided containing the 2 Intel Unite installers:
- Hub Installer : Intel Unite Hub.mui.msi
- Client Installer: Intel Unite Client.mui.msi
3. Start with the Hub installation, then you will continue with the Client installation
The only download officially from intel i find is the SDK and the clients.
This software is available for Intel technology providers only.
