WiFi Connection Utility for Windows 10 ?

When i upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 WiFi Connection Utility was removed.

As a WiFi Systemes Engineer that tool is very essential.

I then downloaded the newest driver packet from Intel, but the WiFi Connection Utility was not included. :-/

Does anyone know if there any plans to release this for Windows 10 ?

thomasthomsen,

With Windows*10 the Intel(R) WiFi Connection Utility is no longer available and the wireless connection now is entirely managed by the OS.

There is no information whether this will be different in the future for the time being.

As a wireless engineer i really really really hope that Intel will release it for Windows 10.

In Windows 10 (and for that matter in vanilla Windows 8) there is almost no possibility to see whats going on. For example with authentication : What CA do you trust for EAP-TLS ?

Also signal strength, associated AP, Channel and so on....

All good stuff that you had easy access to with the WiFi Connection Utility.

Please please Intel, develop and release it for Windows 10.

thomasthomsen,

Thank you for your feedback. We have notified our engineering department. As we have said previously, we don't have any information if this will change in the future.
