In this case restart the Intel® Compute Stick with the power button and keep tapping F8, I would recommend using a wired keyboard and the power the adapter.
Also, remove any SD cards from the Intel® Compute Stick before initiating a Ubuntu refresh or reset procedure.

I have removed SD card, using wired keyb and have psu on.
Press F8 does nothing. What was the expeceted function ?
tried many times.
F10 works to go boot menu but selecting restore does not start restore.
I think it might have tried to update grub as it list something in shell/black screen but
it goes to fast to really read.
I tried to boot on ubuntu usb stick but it does not list the stick and I cannot get it to boot on it.
So Im lost on what to do.
Did you use the recovery option or the reset option?

As stated in first post, the recovery does not work/trigger/happens.
I opened service request.
I did not tried to update the bios as its clearly not bios related.
