Now, here's some extra information:
Description: I get BSODs which all seem to be related to the Intel HD Graphics driver that I have
Brand and model: Sager NP4658
Hybrid graphics?: Yes, it also has NVidia 840m graphics, but it's in unused state most of the time
How much memory [RAM]: 16GB
Any other hardware needed to replicate the issue: N/A
Hardware Stepping: See attached screenshot
Operating System version: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
VBIOS version: 2179.0
Driver version: Intel-10.18.14.4222 ; NVidia-355.60
SW used to replicate the issue: Chrome(?).etc
Display configuration: Single display
Display resolution(s): 1920x1080
AC or DC mode: Both
The Watchdog BSODs seem to be produced simply by visiting any webpage in Google Chrome that causes it's Web MIDI engine to initialize, and just wait minutes or hours, doing something in the background like youtube or interacting with Web MIDI websites and the BSODs will happen eventually. The other BSODs seem to be random but more rare.
Please note that the computer you are using is switchable graphics systems meaning it requires a very special driver to make both graphics controllers work just as they should.
You can install our latest generic driver from this link:
If you encounter problems during the installation of the driver, try these steps:
Can you please let us know if the issue was fixed with the driver? I would like to let the Validation Team know about it.
