Just got my new NUC5i7RYH today. Unfortunately the windows 10 install fails to install with no error message, so I installed windows 7. This has sort of worked, but now windows update hangs all the time, internet explorer crashes often. I've tried to install the latest intel drivers, but the driver update utility is very slow and I get timeouts on some of the drivers. Alarmingly, the display is the wrong size for my Samsung B2330 monitor. I've updated the driver but to no avail. Is it something to do with me using an HDMI cable plugged directly into the monitor?
Sorry guys, but this is not supposed to be so hard. I've been installing pcs for decades now and this is not good.
Any advice gratefully received. If I can't get it working in the next few days, then back it goes as a lemon.
Please try with a clean installation of the Operating System. After that, make sure all drivers are installed and there are no question marks in device manager. In regards the drop outs, as much as possible test another cable to discard hardware issues.
Make sure the HDMI cable is not broken and it is seated correctly in the port to avoid graphics issues.
