thanks for your answer. At the end was easier than I thought.
First I had to startup the CUPS demon:
systemctl start cups.service
Then I had to download the Linux source drivers from the Brothers web, and run the shell script that copy the CUPS filter and the .ppd file in the right directories. Luckily it works on Edison without changes.
