7260ac windows 10 RTM, bluetooth not working, wifi is fine. It shows an unknown bluetooth device in control panel. I Also noticed the personal area network under network adapters has a # 2 on the end almost like it was phantom'd or something. I checked my original registry in windows.old and it was called just "personal area network". I suspect that is the issue, but after trying different 8.1 drivers, uninstalling reinstalling and at one point win10 drivers (now not available on intel site anymore) i am at a loss. Error in device manager details says this "Device BTH\MS_BTHBRB\7&367f4efd&1&1 requires further installation."

Thanks, I don't have an OEM since the 7260ac was installed after the fact. I will look for the downloads and try them and hopefully it will fix the issue. My issue is Bluetooth where others are having zero functionality. I wish there was a document with registry keys on how to uninstall and manually remove the keys the drivers creates. It is my theory their is a phantom or misnamed regkey that is causing these issues.

The driver you referenced is for windows 8.1 and doesn't appear to have the Bluetooth settings. I can give it a try.

There has to be some documentation on how to manually remove 7260ac drivers and registry entries. Something is just not right and it is the drivers that are the issue, upgrade or not if you google my issue this has been happening before windows 10. I have had such a hard time with the 7260ac in getting good speeds and Bluetooth before reporting my current issue. Drivers over time had improved and it was working well, but the issue here is so vague a manual uninstall is the only option I believe will work.

I have exactly the same problem here!!! Upgraded from windows 7 to 10 RTM, I have installed both drivers for 8.1 from the link aleki_intel provided but the device is still "unknown", saying "device descriptor request failed".

I actually have the exact same issue issue with Bluetooth just flat-out failing/disappearing. I have a Lenovo Y50 laptop with the AC 7260, was on Windows 8.1 and upgraded to 10. Now, once in a while the Bluetooth just fails and it shows up under USB devices (Code 43).

I did find a trick that TEMPORARILY enables it again. Boot into the bios, turn off the 7260 card. Then reboot into windows 10 you won't have wifi, but the bluetooth works again. Now, reboot back into your bios and re-enable the wifi. Reboot normally into Windows 10. Then for a short time everything works again.

This is clearly a driver issue on Intel's end. I have tried both the official Windows 10 drivers on the Lenovo site, as well as the generic drivers from intel (including the most recent ones from today 8/11/2015).

This is beyond frustrating, and recognition from Intel that this is a real problem and is being fixed is very much needed. They are going to look like pretty incompetent people if suddenly everyone's 7260s start failing after upgrading to Windows 10. The AC 7260 is not even that old, and is still being put in a lot of machines and sold.

Based on the views to this threat, it is pretty clear that this is not an unique situation, other are facing the issue too....

I just installed out of pure desperateness Toshibia Bluetooth manager. I have never needed it before and just used the intel but it worked and for now i'll leave it since i'm sick of my touch pad. I believe intel has issues with the Bluetooth drivers on the 7260 especially with windows 10. The errors don't even reference an inf or anything. Not sure If the Toshibia application is capable of cross platform but you could give it a try.

Do you have a link to Toshiba BT Manager? I would like to give it a try. 7260AC is a PCIe expension card in my computer made by gigabyte, it's a desktop computer but hope Toshiba driver stil works.

This worked for me and my 7260 was installed after I bought the laptop so it really has nothing to do with the Toshiba. I am running the 18.11.0 proset drivers on the 7260 even though that shouldn't matter. This software works so far, but I do miss how the native 7260 Bluetooth would work at the logon screen, this is an app so you have to logon first then it starts working. In the end it will work for now, I have considered uninstalling and see if the Intel works now that I have apparently fixed whatever was jacked in the registry.

Did you already try the latest update ? Seems aleki's post refers to issues and at least this update worked for me where the previous one didn't.

I had to install prosper software the driver only just disappears after a few seconds when installing. I ran the Bluetooth wp and I'm now right back where I started a splat for the windows bkuetooth enumerator. The driver just does not install or see the Bluetooth correctly. The error is the same I posted above originally but I can't find how to track down if it is using the wrong inf or the driver for Bluetooth is just bad. I have two entire under Bluetooth the wireless Microsoft r and the Microsoft Bluetooth le enumerator.

Yes I did install them and nothing seems to fix anything. Like faulkkev said, the BT drive just disappeared after a few seconds and nothing happened.

Just to clarify this app from Toshiba doesn't fix the device manager I had to uninstall the drivers from Intel for Bluetooth then installed the Bluetooth stack from Toshiba. It then puts an icon down by the clock and I opened it up and said new connection and it found my Bluetooth mouse. Maybe your pc is reacting differently than mine, but I wanted to clarify it replaces the Intel Bluetooth drivers with its own since the Intel issue appears to be with the enumeration using the windows enumerator. After installing it my unknown device does disappear because it removes the intel bad driver is gone and it uses it own stack. I had to reboot and as well. You may have tried this but I wanted to make sure and you also may have to open the unknown device and choose uninstall driver remove from device option.

Thank you dude. It works, but Intel should provide real drivers now.
