Help please - Driver file is in .EXE. Need it to be .ZIP to modify one of the files

Just found out that Intel's graphics chipsets do not support 1440 x 900 as a native resolution, making the image on my monitor very fuzzy no matter which of the available resolutions I choose. Many others have this problem, eg:

The solution has been posted here:

It requires me to make modifications to the .inf file inside the driver pack before installation, which would be easy to do if the driver pack was in .zip form.  Unfortunately, my pack comes as an .exe file.

Anyone know how I can open up the .exe file to get to the contents before installation, or to get a .zip version?  My graphics chipset is the G31/G33.

      Thanks in advance!
