First thing to install: Chipset drivers (INF drivers).
Second thing (IMO): RST drivers.
Third thing, Intel ME driver, this should work,
After that, network drivers, graphics card, soundcard, and other drivers. I would not install special ASUS tools, many of them are not needed.
As issues are identified and fixed, Intel is releasing updated drivers (as are other component and (add-in) card manufacturers). These updates are delivered to the ODMs/OEMs - ASUS and the like - on a regular basis. Whether ASUS passes them along to their board customers is totally their decision. Now, a responsible board manufacturer is not going to pass along drivers that they have not tested. This is only natural, as this could create even more support calls - which cost them money. The problem is that the testing of these updated drivers costs them money as well. Money, money, money! Unfortunately, the cheapest road for them to take is to not provide any updates at all! It's sad; only the bottom line counts anymore...
Intel makes updated drivers for its processors, chipsets and other components (such as networking) available via Download Center. Intel also make these updates available to companies - like Microsoft - who can (and do!) install them via their O/S update services. Unfortunately, some board manufacturers (not naming names) don't like this either, for the very same reasons (support costs, validation costs, etc.), and even attempt to block this from happening. Sigh!
Your best bet is to manually download the updated drivers from Intel's Download Center (as well as other component manufacturers download sites) and install them yourself. You can use the list of drivers that your board manufacturer provided with the board to determine whose sites you will need to go to to get the latest drivers for all of the components used on your particular board. In Intel's case, their boards (for the most part) utilize Intel components wherever possible. Thus, regardless of who makes your board, you can use the lists of driver versions available for Intel's boards to determine what updated drivers Intel has made available. ..
